Fall Season Achievements in Athletics from Athletic Director, Nathan McClallen
Our fall athletic teams have seen unprecedented achievements. Congratulations to the athletes on their accomplishments.
All four of our fall Varsity teams have postseason competitions this week, with two of them at home.
- Tonight at 7 PM - Varsity Volleyball hosts KIPP Austin Collegiate. Winner advances to the Regional Championship.
- Saturday at 8 AM - Varsity Boys and Girls Cross Country compete in the HCAL State Meet at Southwestern University in Georgetown!
- Saturday at 5:30 PM - After the Fall Fest and Clash of the Archers, varsity 6-Man Football hosts St. Stephen's Episcopal in our first-ever playoff game. St. Stephen's will be bussing in fans, so we need to make sure our community shows up and represents. With a win, our team will advance to the next round of the TAIAO playoffs!
- A note for those going to Fall Fest, our kickoff time is scheduled to make it easy for the crowd to flow from one event to the other (Clash will end at 5 p.m.) Be aware that tickets for the game are sold by the car, $12 each. If you are already on campus for Clash of the Archers and stay for the football game, you will not be charged; however, if you leave after Fall Fest and return for the game, a ticket will be required.
This fall might well have been the most dominant showing from our middle school teams in school history, with 5 out of our 7 teams winning their league championship. Truly an amazing job by our coaches, students, and families!
- Middle school cross country teams finished their season by outrunning the competition at the HCAL Regional Meet. Boys and Girls both finished first place overall, out of 12 teams competing in the race!
- Middle school flag football and volleyball teams had some amazing performances at their postseason tournament!
- Flag Football A Team defeated Valor North in the semifinal before taking down Valor South in the Championship.
- B Flag Football had an undefeated regular season and delivered a championship in the playoffs to complete their perfect record!
- Arrows Volleyball took down Valor Kyle in their championship game in two sets.
- Bows Volleyball knocked Valor Leander out of the playoffs Friday, then lost in the semifinals on Saturday.
- C Volleyball team took third place in their tournament, culminating a successful first season!
Overall, it was the best showing for the Archers in the three years we have competed in this league.
